To the Editor:
For the first time ever, Full Circle Health & Barwick Living are coming together for an exclusive food and fitness Fun Day program for people from all walks of life.
The inaugural program features some of the best local talent in the health and wellness industry:
Lorraine Barwick, national award-winning Accredited Exercise Physiologist, creator of StandUpHealth.com and Co-director of Barwick Living said,
“Fit Food Fun Day will explore basic elements of food and fitness for health, alongside current and emerging trends in cooking and exercise training from beginners to advanced”.
Michelle King, full-time mum and Co-owner of Full Circle Health in Caringbah and Gumtree Retreat in Grafton, brings over 25 years of professional experience in holistic health care said,
“The program will be a fantastic sampler of the skills and tools that can be used to save time and money and extend the creative boundaries on modern lifestyles.”
“It will stretch the imagination of the participants and offer guidance on improving their lifestyles, so that people will know exactly how to do what they already know they should be doing for optimal health.” Lorraine Barwick
“Trends in food for health and forms in fitness come and go, but food in the shape and form that nature has made is here to stay, and so are simple sustainable solutions for fitness, like standing and moving more”, says Barwick.
These are just some of the topics of Masterclasses that will follow on from the fun day.
Jacqui Miyabayshi, business consultant in Osaka, Japan, said about the Fit Food Fun Day concept:
“This is making a huge headway into preventative medicine with food and exercise, by targeting people who may think they are safe coasting along – in fact – they could be heading for a massive health scare in a few years”.
Lorraine has been working with heart patients at Sutherland Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation over the last 10 years. She will run a strength class for health not bulk. She believes strong is the new skinny and there is gain without pain.
Michelle is also a certified Colon Hydrotherapist Instructor for the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT). She provides a tranquil Day Spa and Colon Hydrotherapy School at Gumtree Retreat in Coffs Harbour with her husband Andrew. Michelle is also a trained natural therapist in massage, reflexology and beauty therapy.
Michelle’s passion for inspiring people to take care of their inside health originates from her keynote speaking, facilitating and hosting many detox retreats, cleansing program’s including managing the Colon Hydrotherapy department at Tony Robbins Life Mastery Event in Fiji, Europe and the USA.
By raising six children and balancing her professional career, Michelle will share wellness secrets and detox tips of how cleansing can “add years to your life and life to your years”.
Michelle and Lorraine will also be running cooking masterclasses to help gluten and diary intolerant people and their carers develop a delicious and sustainable eating plan to go from surviving to thriving.
